Rachel Carver is relatively new to the real estate field, having begun her administrative manager position at Frank Smith Realty in 2016. She previously worked as an elementary school teacher with a focus on Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade classes. She loved getting her students in touch with their creative sides through art and music. After her teaching days, Rachel worked six seasons at Pico’s Nursery and Landscaping in Lakeside as the garden center manager. Her lifelong interest in flowers and gardens made the position a good fit. While there she enjoyed learning all about the various trees and shrubs that grow well in this area and then passing this knowledge on to customers. Rachel has volunteered at The Love Kitchen (a local food bank) where she washed her fair share of dishes, organized donations, and occasionally cooked. She continues to participate in a number of local charitable events in and out of the work setting. In her spare time, Rachel can be found in her art studio where she makes all her own greeting cards, experiments in mixed media, and creates collages and watercolors. Rachel and her husband of almost forty years have four grown children who they visit regularly for hiking, picnicking, and board games.
